Sugar Sands Charity Golf Classic
When: October 10, 2016
Where: Kelly Plantation Golf Club
About: This Columbus Day, put your love of golf toward a good cause. Sign up for this charity event, and proceeds will benefit Children in Crisis.
City of Destin’s 16th Annual Fall Festival
When: October 17, 2016 from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
Where: Destin Community Center
About: Along with games, there will be a costume contest, a cakewalk, spacewalk/slide, a jack-o-lantern contest, and food for sale. Admission is one perishable food item for the food bank. Tickets for games and food will be on sale for 4/$1 or 20/$5 with most games costing one ticket. Carved pumpkins must be dropped off before 3:00pm. Registration for the costume contest is between 5-6pm. Come join the fun!
Boggy Bayou Mullet Festival
When: October 22-23, 2106 from 1:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. on Saturday and until 7:00 p.m. on Sunday
Where: intersection of State Road 85 North and College Boulevard in Niceville, Florida
About: Catch headlining musical acts by Justin Moore, Chase Bryant, Joe Diffie, and Confederate Railroad. The Annual Boggy Bayou Mullet Festival has been a tradition for 40 years! The event promises a great time for the entire family, with entertainment, the highest quality fine art and home hand-crafts, and a staggering array of food concessions.
Destin Festival of the Arts
When: October 29-30, 2016 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday and from 10 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Sunday
Where: The Mattie Kelly Cultural Arts Village, 4323 Commons Dr. West, Destin FL 32541
About: Enrich your soul with creativity at the Destin Festival of the Arts, hosted by the Mattie Kelly Arts Foundation. There will be live musical performances, local food vendors, and inspiring art displays.
Trick-or-Treat at Silver Sands
When: October 31, 2016 from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.
Where: Silver Sands Premium Outlets
About: Destin is full of shopping that can’t be missed like that at Silver Sands Premium Outlets. Pair your shopping trip with some trick-or-treating for the kids! Families with children 13 and under are invited to stroll the sidewalks at Silver Sands Premium Outlets in costume to collect goodies from each store. Visit the Information Center first for special treats and a list of participating stores.
Destin Seafood Fishing Rodeo Finale
When: October 31, 2016 from 7:00 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.
Where: HarborWalk Village beneath the Emerald Grande
About: The Rodeo begins October 1st and runs through October 31st with weigh-ins daily from 10 AM until 7 PM on the docks behind AJ’s Seafood & Oyster Bar on Destin Harbor. Celebrate the last weigh in of Destin's Fishing Rodeo with fireworks at 9:00 PM, followed by a spectacular fire spinning performance by Just Add Fire!
