Fourth of July Events and Activities for 2013

We might be the Emerald Coast, but residents and visitors alike know how to celebrate the ‘Red, White, And Blue”. If you’re vacationing during fourth of July week, there are a number of parades, concerts and fireworks displays from Destin to 30-A. Fort Walton Beach: The Independence Day Celebration at Fort Walton Beach Landing is family friendly celebration, with plenty of children’s activities. Fireworks begin at 9:00. Destin: The City of Destin hosts fireworks spectacular over the East Pass and Destin Commons celebrates with a patriotic concert and Fireworks. San Destin celebrates “ Red White and Baytowne”, complete with fireworks. Start the morning with the Seaside Independence Day parade, beginning at 8:00 AM. The town is also hosting a Pops concert in the amphitheater, followed by Fireworks. The Atlanta All Stars take the stage in Alys Beach, followed by Fireworks. Watercolor has a full day of fun planned, including a bike parade, a community picnic, and finally fireworks. Rosemary Beach celebrates with a bike parade, a family field day, and finally fireworks.    Wherever you are spending your Fourth of July, there will be plenty of food, fireworks, and fun! Remember to be safe and pay attention to the flags on the beach!Â
