It is Groundhog Day and it is up to Punxsutawney Phil to see whether or not we will be experiencing six more weeks of winter or experience an early spring... This morning around 7:25 a.m. Phil awoke from his tree stump to come out and give us the prediction we've all been waiting for. The bad news? Punxsutawney Phil saw his shadow -- meaning six more weeks of winter are in store. The good news? Spring always comes early in Destin!
The temperatures in February average around 64° during the day and 49° during the nights. March really starts bringing us the beautiful spring weather with an average high of 70° and a low of 54°. This is great news for those who are disappointed by Phil's 2022 prediction of six more weeks of winter. Destin welcomes you with warm open arms as temps across the states remain low!
