Dedicated to promoting and celebrating paddle boarding, Paddle Destin organizes and manages training paddles, races, and social gatherings for the area's growing number of paddlers. In addition to weekly training paddles, the group heads out during warm weather full moon evenings to explore the Harbor and the bay by moonlight. The paddles are free, but every paddler must have a PFD (Personal Flotation Device), a whistle, and a white light (glow sticks are acceptable and encouraged). You can pack a cooler and join the party all spring and summer. The Full Moon Paddles begin at 6:00 PM out of Legendary Marina and are scheduled for : Sunday, March 1 Tuesday, April 15 Wednesday, May 14 Friday, June 13 Saturday, July 12 Monday, September 18th. The club has also recently announced the first Stand Up Paddle Board Race of the season, on March 22. The race, which begins at Legendary, will include a 1 mile beginner, 3 mile Rec, and 6 mile Elite race. You can get more information about Paddle Destin on their Facebook page or website.
