Things to Do

These are unprecedented times, but that doesn't mean you can't use the time wisely. On the blog, we're giving you five family-friendly activities to do while social distancing. Read about them all below.

1. Coloring Pages

Coloring isn't just for kids, adults can join in on the fun too. Coloring is great for meditation and anxiety management. Keep the whole family busy and refresh your refrigerator's aesthetic. Crayola is offering free prints here.

2. Go for a run.

Races are being postponed and cancelled left and right, but it is still perfectly safe to train, according to RunnersWorld.com. As long as you're running alone and practicing good hygiene on your return home, you're good to go. So hit the pavement and clear your mind as you rack up the miles.

3. Catch up on some reading.

How long has it been since you've curled up with a book? Life comes at us fast and you've probably been meaning to read up for some time. There's no time like the present. Audible and Kindle are great tools to use to avoid unnecessary travel. Throw on a kid's classic and keep the family entertained for hours.

4. Visit the beach-- virtually.

If you're anything like us then you're probably having beach withdrawals. You can get a glimpse of the dazzling Emerald Coast while keeping your distance thanks to Old98 Destin and their beach cams. While you're there, support local business and pick up a shirt!

5. Listen to a podcast.

Missing connection and interaction? Been wanting to learn something new? Podcasts are a good avenue to take and lend to multitasking. Explore a new podcast and de-clutter that closet or that junk drawer you've been meaning to get to. You'd be surprised what you'll pick up.

There's a lot of uncertainty and anxiety surrounding these times, but we're all in this together as a collective. Uplift one another and share this blog with someone who could use the information. Stay safe and continue to practice social distancing during this time.
