Come enjoy the fun whether you're staying in 30A or Destin, there's plenty to do when it comes to ringing in the 4th of July, 2020. On the blog, we're detailing four events perfect for the occasion.
1. Grayton Beach 4th of July Parade
It's a Grayton tradition along 30A, every Independence Day locals host a parade in celebration. Red, white, and blue attire is encouraged. Bring the kids out for a good time. Visitors and neighbors watch from their front yards. Snag a place to stay with Five Star and catch the parade early! It kicks off at 8:30 a.m. from the Red Bar in South Walton.
2. Destin Harbor Fireworks
Destin is known for its fireworks, year-round! But for July 4th, the fireworks from the Harbor are out of this world. The Destin fireworks display is large enough to be seen in the Harbor and beyond, Patriotic music is also broadcasted throughout the Harbor for the full Independence Day effect. Bring a towel and watch from your home's private beach access or take in the views from the balcony. Fireworks kick off at 9 p.m., but you'll want to get out there early to get a good spot!
3. Crab Island
Need a closer look? Be sure to book your pontoon rental with La Dolce Vita for a night out on the emerald waves with fireworks above. Be sure to mention that Five Star sent you! Pontoons are easy to maneuver and typically hold up to 12 passengers. You won't have to travel far from the Harbor to find the perfect spot.
4. Red, White, and Baytowne Celebration
Baytowne Wharf is the perfect spot for the kiddos. Enjoy LIVE music on the Events Plaza Stage at 7pm. There's plenty of restaurants and activities near by to keep you busy. The fireworks display will light up the night sky at 9:15pm. You're in for a night of ooos and ahhhs for the little ones and adults alike. If you're looking for a good time without the crazy crowds, Baytowne Wharf is a good spot to look into!
