For 27 years, the Holiday on The Harbor Lighted Boat Parade gets the World's Luckiest Fishing Village into the holiday spirit in an imaginative and unique style. More than 25 boats, in a number of different categories including charter boats, private boats, and even stand up paddle boards, compete for bragging rights as the "brightest boat on the Harbor". In years past, the parade has seen innovative entries featuring a stand up paddle board decorated like Santa's Sleigh, featuring eight paddlers dressed as reindeer, boats with light shows set to music, and some with famous characters, like Santa, the Grinch, or the Peanuts Gang. This year's Holiday on the Harbor Boat Parade begins at 6:00 p.m. Sunday, December 15th. Admission is free, and you can view the parade from the docks and restaurants west of the Grand Harbor Condominiums. Celebrity judges will be stationed at Harry T's in Harbor Walk Village and will be awarding six prizes, plus an overall "˜Best In Show". The evening will conclude with a fireworks show, adding even more light over the harbor. The Holiday on The Harbor Lighted Boat Parade is a unique tradition that will replace any "Bah Humbugs" with some "Ho Ho Ho's ". If you're on the Emerald Coast, grab your mittens, a mug of good cheer, and head down to the Harbor for the parade.
