Award winning local favorite Bud & Alley's is hosting the 9th Annual Hurricane Party on Friday, September 27th, from 7:00-10:00. Featuring great music, great food, and a live and silent auction, the proceeds from the event benefit the Children's Volunteer Health Network. Bud & Alley's owners Dave and Carol Rauscholb told the Northwest Daily News, "We are so pleased to be hosting the Hurricane Party benefiting CVHN again this year at Bud & Alley's. We are drawn to this cause because the heart of this organization is about enriching children's lives."
Last year, the The 8th Annual Hurricane Party raised more than $34,000, for the organization's Mobile Dental Clinic, 'Just for Grins,' and the Healthcare Referral Program. This year, the doors will open at 7 p.m. with heavy hors d'oeuvres and a cash bar. Tickets are $60 in advance and $75 day of the party with proceeds going to help CVHN fulfill its mission. You can purchase tickets online or give them a call at 850.622.3200. Children's Volunteer Health Network, Inc., HEALTHY HAPPY KIDS, is a faith-based 501(c)(3) organization, established in 2005 in response to Walton and Okaloosa County's large population of low income families who are unable to access high quality health services due to the unavailability (or inadequacy) of insurance. CVHN seeks to enhance the lives of uninsured and underinsured school-aged children by facilitating free, immediate access to medical, dental, vision and mental health services by utilizing a network of over 95 local physicians, dentists and healthcare providers. CVHN also operates the "Just for Grins" Mobile Dental Clinic that visits local elementary schools and opened the CVHN Dental Clinic in 2012. CVHN has facilitated more than 35,000 medical, dental, vision and mental healthcare procedures since inception. For more information, call 850.622.3200 or visit cvhnkids.org.
